Matthew 25:34-36 Then the king will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.'
Thank you! Thank you! Your response to our collection of funds to provide Thanksgiving baskets to veterans in need in the Charleston area has far exceeded our expectations! By bargain shopping, we were able to keep the cost of each basket to just under $10, and as of September 18th, we collected enough to
make at least thirty baskets! We will continue to collect money for this project through the first Sunday in October (10/2).
Wednesday, October 12th, we will be assembling the baskets. You are encouraged to join us for the noon worship service; and, following the service, lunch will be provided in Gatch Hall, and we will all pitch in to assemble the baskets. Mark your calendars now, and plan to join us!
